DESCRIPTION In today’s push to increased accountability the problem often is too much data rather than too little. The challenge is deciding what data will give you the information needed to improve the learning outcomes and your progress reports. This workshop will: • examine assessment practices that help differentiate instruction and align teaching to learning goals to help schools reorganize for success; • focus on gathering, analyzing and using authentic information on students’ development; • allow participants guided discussion with their peers on what critical data needs to be gathered and how it can be best used.
